Office Visits, Appointments

Office visits are by appointment only. Every effort will be made to give you an appointment at the earliest convenience. If you have an urgent problem, we will attempt to see you as soon as possible during normal business hours.

Cancellations and Missed Appointments

If you cannot make your appointment, please give us the courtesy of at least 24 hours notice so that another patient may have the opportunity to see the doctor.  Arriving for your appointment a few minutes early will help ensure that you and the other patients are seen in a timely manner.  If you are more than 10 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, your appointment may be counted as a Missed Visit.

Dr. Nall is committed to spending enough time with you to listen to your history and perform a thorough physical exam.  Because of our commitment to quality care for you and our other patients, and the increasing trend of the general public to show up late on a routine basis, it is necessary for us to have a strict Late Arrival Policy.

A Missed Visit is defined as failing to give us 24 hours notice of your inability to make a scheduled appointment, no showing an appointment, or showing up more than 10 minutes late to your appointment.  Members who have a Missed Visit may have one rescheduled visit per year.  After that, missed visits will be counted toward the monthly total of visits in each membership level.

If the patient misses multiple visit, it is up the practice to decide if the patient should be dismissed from the practice.  If that occurs, the patient will be notified by certified mail.

Fees, Payments, Collections, and Insurance

Our fees and charges are based on the cost of doing business.  The Village Osteopath does not accept healthcare insurance, worker’s comp insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare, or motor vehicle insurance.  HSA/Flex Spending cards can be used as long as functional medicine, alternative medicine, anti-aging medicine is considered a covered service.  We will provide a receipt of services but we will not do CMS-1500 forms, insurance coding, or make changes to the receipt, etc.  There will be a $30 dollar charge for returned checks.

Prescriptions and Refills

You will be given a prescription for enough medication to last you through to your next office appointment so refills will not be necessary. If the timing of your appointment will leave you short a few pills please contact us before you run out and we will fill enough to last you until your appointment time. Please give us two business days to do this.

Controlled Medication

Controlled substances or “narcotics” will not be written for long term use. Some of the procedures performed by Dr. Nall might leave you sore for a maximum of 3-4 days. When these are done, Dr. Nall will write for 7 days worth of medication to accommodate patients of all pain tolerances which will be more than adequate as the vast majority (>95%) do not require post procedure pain medication at all. No refills will be given no matter what the circumstance (ex. Stolen medication, dog/child ate the medication, etc).

Emergencies/Urgent Needs

If you have an emergency, you need to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.  If you have an urgent need, but not an emergency, you should first try to reach out to you primary care provider (PCP), and if they are not available, then to an Urgent Care center.

Children

Children are welcome at the Village Osteopath, but for safety sake we ask that when brought to the office they must be supervised. Parents/Guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children.

Medical Education

The Village Osteopath is a facility which will on occasion have Osteopathic students, medical students, interns, Osteopathic residents, medical residents, physician assistant student, and nurse practitioner students for clinical rotations. You have the choice to refuse to have them in the room during the exam but we encourage you to allow it because how else are we going to train the next generation of doctors and health care providers. Usually they will just be observing, but on occasion, depending on the student’s skill level, they might participate in a highly managed/supervised fashion in your care.
